00:00:00.000 --> 00:00:04.100
Hi! Welcome to XMPie PersonalEffect Cross Media.

00:00:04.100 --> 00:00:13.500
In this tutorial we start our campaign setup by using the Circle "easy start" to upload a data source and automatically create a plan file.

00:00:13.500 --> 00:00:22.200
After connecting to uProduce, you should be at this dialog. Click the Upload data source (easy start) option.

00:00:22.200 --> 00:00:27.100
Select the data source type and browse for the file.

00:00:27.100 --> 00:00:32.166

00:00:32.166 --> 00:00:36.299
The next dialog allows you to select the recipient table.

00:00:36.300 --> 00:00:46.700
For a csv or text file, there is only one table, but if you uploaded an Excel file with multiple tabs, you need to select the correct table here.

00:00:46.700 --> 00:00:50.466
You can then choose how to define the recipient key.

00:00:50.466 --> 00:00:58.999
If your campaign includes sensitive or private information, you can automatically create a SecureID by selecting this option.

00:00:59.000 --> 00:01:05.066
Or, you can select a field from the recipient database to be used as the recipient ID.

00:01:05.066 --> 00:01:10.732
For this example, I will choose to use the firstname and lastname fields.

00:01:10.733 --> 00:01:17.066
Circle will automatically handle any duplicates by adding a random number at the end.

00:01:17.066 --> 00:01:23.166
The recipient key is important when creating a campaign that will include a personalized website,

00:01:23.166 --> 00:01:30.799
since the recipient key will form part of the URL to uniquely identify the recipient that is accessing the site.

00:01:30.800 --> 00:01:38.200
It is also used for tracking the recipient's interaction with the campaign – even if there is no personalized website.

00:01:38.200 --> 00:01:45.500
Circle has now automatically created a plan file, and uploaded it, and the data source to your uProduce server.

00:01:45.500 --> 00:01:52.300
We can now go on to setting up the touchpoints either individually on each touchpoint, or via the library.

00:01:52.300 --> 00:02:00.733
We will look at setting up touchpoints in later modules. For now, let’s look in the library to see what the quick start has done for us.

00:02:00.733 --> 00:02:08.666
Firstly, in the Plan tab, you can see that the quick start has created a plan file automatically based on your data source.

00:02:08.666 --> 00:02:14.699
We can download the current plan here, and upload replacement plans with this icon.

00:02:14.700 --> 00:02:19.300
You may need to download the plan file to add additional rules or logic,

00:02:19.300 --> 00:02:26.300
or to change an ADOR type to Graphic if you want to dynamically change images in your documents.

00:02:26.300 --> 00:02:33.600
On the Master List tab, you can see the table we uploaded. Again we can upload a replacement data source.

00:02:33.600 --> 00:02:40.466
There is an option to also recreate the plan in the event that the data schema is different to the original file.

00:02:40.466 --> 00:02:44.632
For example, if additional columns were added to the data.

00:02:44.633 --> 00:02:46.766
We can download a copy of the data.

00:02:46.766 --> 00:02:54.366
For example, after the campaign, we can send the updated and newly captured information back to our client.

00:02:54.366 --> 00:03:01.599
And the tools icon allows us to do important things like adding additional recipients to the data source.

00:03:01.600 --> 00:03:07.766
If your campaign will use assets for variable graphic or text file ADORs, you can create a new assets folder

00:03:07.766 --> 00:03:14.866
and upload assets to your production server. And the same for fonts used in your print documents.

00:03:14.866 --> 00:03:20.766
We will look at Lists, Documents and Websites later in in this tutorial series.
