A uStore poster with style!
Poster 1 - Overview
In this series of tutorial videos, XMPie trainer Deb Haines steps you through the process of creating a colorful yin yang poster for uStore by using Style ADORs to change object and character styles in the InDesign document.
Poster 2 - Design setup
In this video, Deb explains the static document setup that will be used for the example. Remember to download the Resources ZIP file to access the files and follow along.
Poster 3 - Setting up sample data
In this video, Deb create a simple data set to use to tag and test the poster preview in InDesign.
Poster 4 - Setup Variables and Dials
In this video, Deb links the InDesign document to the sample data set, converts the ADORs to Variables, and configures the variables as Campaign dials.
Poster 5 - Setting up Rules and Styles (part 1)
In this video, Deb starts to setup the business rule by creating an Audience and defining the Segments. She also sets up the Style ADORs that will be used to change the document's object styles.
Poster 6 - Setting up Styles (part 2)
In this video, Deb continues setting up the remaining ADORs to complete the document design. Specifically, this video shows the setup of Style ADORs for controlling the character styles.
Poster 7 - Exporting a Campaign Package
Now the document is completed, Deb shows how to Export to a Campaign package so that everything is gathered and ready to upload to uProduce.
Poster 8 - Setup on uProduce
In this video, Deb creates a new uProduce account, uploads the campaign package, and does the proof and process necessary to setup and test the document before adding it to uStore.
Poster 9 - Setup in uStore
In this video, Deb adds the poster into uStore and configures the basic settings needed to test ordering the final poster product.
Poster 10 - Using the Gallery Grid View
In this video, Deb changes the theme selection from a drop-down to the Gallery Grid View to provide a nicer user interface for the customer to select the poster design.
