Course Information
This eLearning course is designed to introduce the process of creating personalized print templates using XMPie uCreate Print, an Adobe InDesign plug-in included with the uDirect (Desktop Production) and PersonalEffect (Server Production) product suites.
The course provides comprehensive coverage, from installation and configuration to both desktop and server-based production workflows, along with a range of advanced features. It also includes guided tutorial modules and downloadable example files to support hands-on learning and practical application.
- Understand and use the uCreate Print functionality and interfaces (called Dynamic Content menus, panels and dialogs) within InDesign
- Build a personalized print template (aka VDP template) from start to finish
- Understand, create and modify various types of personalized content (aka Content Objects)
- Understand, create and modify business rules for personalized content
- Generate personalized print production using desktop (InDesign & uCreate Print)
- Understand the difference between production methods - desktop vs servers (uProduce)
- Adobe Creative Cloud, with InDesign installed
- Have basic knowledge of Adobe InDesign and how to use it
- uCreate Print installed

Video Information
This video demonstrates how to use the Page Numbering Page Visibility feature of uCreate Print to control page visibility based on the page number or page count in the document. This is particularly helpful when the dynamic document will have a variable number of pages for each recipient in the database, and each recipient must have a set number of pages - for example multiples of four pages for a booklet, or when specific pages must start on the left or right.
